Rachael Coope
Mentor - Newcastle, NSW
Rachael (Rach) is passionate about supporting and helping others, especially youth. She has been working with long-term unemployed and youth for 20 years and fell in love with helping others gain access to sustainable incomes, build confidence and achieve their goals and saw the significant impact it made on their entire family and their communities.
She has experience working with youth and vulnerable individuals and their families in therapeutic support work, senior youth work, mentoring, training and facilitation, recruitment, change management, business coaching, team leadership and regional management.
Rach was born in Papua New Guinea and grew up in a small town called Coonabarabran in New South Wales – she now lives in Newcastle with her teenage son. She loves spending time with him, cooking, practicing yoga and learning.
Rach is a strong believer that everyone deserves equal opportunities, and it takes a village to raise a family. She enjoys working with young mums and their families to build happy, fun, stable, sustainable lives, together and ensure they have the support, skills, and confidence take on their goals and dreams.
