Ben Spence Appointed Deputy Chair on Brave Foundation Board
Brave Foundation is honoured to announce the appointment of Ben Spence as Deputy Chair of its Board of Directors.
A long-standing advocate for helping families thrive through community connection and support, Mr Spence brings deep experience across government and non-government sectors, delivering child protection, out of home care, youth justice, disability, aged care, and social housing services. In this new role, he will work closely with the Chair and fellow Board members to strengthen governance and support the organisation’s strategic direction.
Board Chair Dr Maria Harries said Brave was thrilled to welcome Mr Spence as Deputy Chair.
“His passion and expertise will help us continue to drive Brave’s mission to walk alongside and champion young parents as a Centre of Excellence. Ben is a valued member of the Board and has played a key role in developing Brave’s Vision 2030, it’s 2025-30 Strategy.”
“I’m honoured to support Brave’s work in this new capacity. Strengthening families starts with listening to them, directly and authentically, and acting on what they tell us. That’s the foundation of Brave’s approach, and I’m excited to add my efforts to those of others working to drive that work forward,” Mr Spence added.
