Tahlya Searle

Mentor – South-east Melbourne, Regional Victoria & Virtual

Tahlya has worked with families and young people in communities and schools, providing support and mentorship since 2014. She has a special interest in supporting young parents develop healthy bonds with their baby and partner or co-parent and creating and pursuing both family and individual life goals and dreams.

She has a diverse professional background that includes mental health, entertainment and hospitality industries. Tahlya is a registered clinically trained counsellor who is completing her Masters of Public Health at Melbourne University. Before she became a counsellor and mentor, she was a co-owner of a popular inner-city bar and restaurant in Melbourne, and Tahlya is still active in the entertainment industry as member of the Entertainment Wellness Committee under the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance. Tahlya was also a young parent and understands the challenges and joys that this path can present. She brings a calm and nurturing presence, provides a trauma-informed person-centred approach and is closely connected to the indigenous and CALD communities.
